At the luncheon for the 61st Annual Agricultural and Farm Tour of Miami-Dade County, held at the Redland Golf and Country Club on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava presented Robert “Bob” Fuchs with a Proclamation in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the orchid industry and agriculture.
A third-generation orchid grower who was born and raised in Homestead, Florida, Fuchs has devoted decades to collecting orchids from around the world, exhibiting at orchid shows, and sharing his expertise through lectures and educational programs. He is also an accredited judge with the American Orchid Society.
Bob Fuchs, owner of RF Orchids, holds the distinction of being the only orchid grower inducted into the Florida Agriculture Hall of Fame, a testament to his lifelong dedication and significant contributions to Florida agriculture and the international orchid community.
