On June 11, 2026, Property Appraiser Tomas Regalado visited RF Orchids to present a recognition from the Property Appraiser’s Office to Robert “Bob” Fuchs, honoring his lifelong dedication to orchid conservation, horticulture, agricultural education and the agricultural heritage of South Florida — recognizing a life of service, passion and commitment to an important part of the county’s history.
For generations leaders like Bob Fuchs have helped preserve the identity of Miami-Dade’s agricultural community while inspiring growers, educators and residents far beyond Homestead.
